A 2022 California exemption hike was signed into law yesterday. Recently the California legislature passed Senate Bill 1099 (SB 1099). This proposed to improve bankruptcy protections for homes, cars, cash, and more.  This acts as a new massive shield for debtors who file for bankruptcy relief. Yesterday, it became law.
