Princess Cruises Coronavirus Pandemic of 2020
Santa Clarita’s own Princess Cruises coronavirus response is to temporarily stop operations in an abundance of caution. The cruise line this week said that it “… will voluntarily pause global operations of its 18 cruise ships for two months (60 days), impacting voyages departing March 12 to May 10.”

This is the right move, and will certainly increase social distancing. This is true, especially given that a cruise ship was part of the United States’ first experience with the COVID-19 virus. Santa Clarita resident Carl Goldman has been sharing his experiences from cruise ship to quarantine to back home in the SCV and chronicling.
Princess Cruises hopes to be back in operations on May 11, 2020. There’s no telling exactly how this Princess coronavirus standstill will impact the company’s 35,000 employees, many who live in Santa Clarita. Hopefully by summer, things can get back to normal.
Helping with the Princess Cruises Coronavirus Recovery
We can help the Santa Clarita business and many of its employees so they don’t need bankruptcy attorneys. First, one way to help the company and its many employees and our SCV neighbors is to book a cruise this summer. For example, the safest time to buy Tylenol was after the tampering scare. Also, the safest time to eat at Jack in the Box was after they had an E coli outbreak in 1993. And the safest and best time to take a cruise will be on Princess Cruises after the coronavirus panic is gone this summer.
Let’s hope that Carl Goldman and his wife continue to get better (and he just got his first negative test). Let’s pray the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic stops, and starts going away. Also, let’s desire that the Princess Cruises coronavirus problem is very short. That the Princess ships are again leaving port very soon. And that there are no health problems or panic in our town of Santa Clarita.
